Job Description

    As an Assistant General Manager at Birla Carbon in Andhra Pradesh, India, your main objective is to provide HR leadership to the Greenfield Unit. Your responsibilities include implementing and institutionalizing all basic HR services and processes, focusing on employee engagement through talent management, training and development, and employee wellness. You will also be in charge of maintaining productive and harmonious industrial relations to achieve optimum productivity and executing Corporate Social Responsibility Plans. Your key accountabilities will involve preparing HR plans for the unit, coordinating and implementing all people processes, developing and implementing appropriate HR plans aligned with the unit strategy, and building a performance culture. You will also be responsible for recruitment and selection of talented personnel, reviewing manpower requirements, and onboarding the right individuals according to hiring needs. Training and development will be a crucial aspect of your role, including designing, organizing, and conducting training programs, identifying employees" training needs, and administering the ELM module of Poornata. Talent management will also be a focus, where you will plan, organize, and implement activities to recognize talents, support the development of young talent, and create succession plans. You will assist in preparing the organization structure, manpower planning, job analysis, and job descriptions to improve teamwork, productivity, and right sizing of manpower. Additionally, you will oversee performance management, establishment, and compensation processes, drive MDP adoption, and ensure peaceful and harmonious employee relations. Your role will also involve organization development activities such as aligning people processes with group values, leading communication initiatives, implementing policies and processes to create a great workplace, and driving reward and recognition programs within the unit. To excel in this position, you should hold a post-graduate degree and have a minimum of 8-15 years of experience. You will report to the Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the HR landscape within the organization.,
