Job Description
- We are seeking a Robotics Software Intern to assist our engineering team in the development, testing, and deployment of robotics solutions for automation and machine vision tasks. The ideal candidate should have a passion for robotics, proficiency in coding, and enthusiasm to contribute to real-world robotic systems in industrial or research environments. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development of software for robotic systems, such as motion planning, control algorithms, and sensor integration. You will work with tools like ROS (Robot Operating System), OpenCV, and Python/C++ for robotics development. Additionally, you will integrate and test robotic components like cameras, motors, encoders, and grippers, as well as participate in simulation and visualization using tools such as Gazebo and RViz. You will also be involved in collecting, processing, and analyzing data from real-world robotic tasks while ensuring clear documentation and version control with Git. To qualify for this position, you should be currently pursuing a degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field. Proficiency in Python and/or C++, familiarity with ROS, Linux, and basic robotics concepts, as well as experience with OpenCV or similar vision libraries, will be beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude are essential. Bonus skills that would be advantageous include experience with embedded systems, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi, knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) for vision tasks, and exposure to industrial robots, automation setups, or PLCs. This is an internship position with a contract length of 6 months. The work schedule is during the day shift from Monday to Friday with morning shifts. The role requires the ability to commute or relocate to Makarpura, Vadodara, Gujarat, before starting work. A willingness to work onsite in Vadodara is necessary.
