Job Description
- This opportunity requires the successful candidate to: Provide infrastructure analysis services to clients and/or internal stakeholders Analyse and understand user needs and expectations, as well as alternative infrastructure architectures and trends. Conduct analyses of technology and associated operational processes, with a view to recommending infrastructure designs and strategies that will improve service, lower costs, and prevent unforeseen operational issues. Implement and improve methodologies and tools applied to capacity planning, benchmark , workloads , performance KPIs and health check evaluation activities. Work closely with performance and benchmark teams together to identify best fit performance environments specifications, planning and evaluate performance data. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, identifying market potential, investigating the adaption of new technologies and is both dynamic and flexible. Display the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs, priorities, and timelines. Skills & Experience: +10 years of professional IT experience with minimum 5 years of experience of working in telecom infrastructure engineering/architecture. Strong experience with On-Prem / Cloud Infrastructure services. At least 1 Infrastructure Advanced Certification (OKE, VMware, Microsoft, RedHat, Cisco, etc.) or hyperscaler Advanced Certification (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP) TOGAF Certification or equivalent (ideal) Experience with Private / hybrid cloud solutions, either commercial tools (VMware, BMC, HP, Cisco, Microsoft, OKE) or OpenSource (Openstack, Cloudforms, etc.). Experience with automation and Orchestration of infrastructure operational processes (Ansible, BMC, VMware, Red Hat, Chef, Puppet, Terraform etc.). Knowledge of main hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V) and network virtualization (NSX, etc.) Familiar with main operating systems (Linux and Windows) and middleware (appservers, webservers, databases and others). Experience with Containers (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) Experienced in data centre transformation assessments and definition of infrastructure strategies and roadmap Experienced in architecture design and Implementation of infrastructure and automation solutions. Experienced in Deployment of High Availability (e.g. 99.99%, 99.999%) solutions. Experienced in IP Switching / Routing & SAN / Disk Layout fundamentals. Strong hands-on Linux and/or KVM experience. Has a broad knowledge of the Telecom industry, telecommunications software technology space and a personal interest in new technologies in hardware, software and processes. Experience in DevOps around Continuous Integration & Delivery (is preferred) Experience with Oracle Databases such as Enterprise DB & RAC, Exadata, MySql, TimesTen (is preferred) Bachelors degree in Engineering or IT/Telecommunications related. Team player with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and resolve complex problems. Outstanding verbal, written and creative advertising communications skills a must.
