Job Description Communication Manager
Location: Bangalore
Job objective
The Communications Manager will work as a core team member of the India communications team and a business partner of the Engineering Competence Centre being the local point of contact with regards to the Bangalore-based communications (internal and external) activities. The main objective is to strategically promote Thaless local engineering success stories within the Group and to enhance our corporate presence in the region.
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Communication Manager will interact regularly with the India communications team, other internal stakeholders in India and the Group (corporate, business units, business lines) under the supervision of the India Director of Communications.
The main missions are:
Internal Communications: Prepare and execute a Bangalore site specific internal communications plan in collaboration with the India Communications team, Bangalore Engineering leadership team and respective functions - aligned with the country specific communications plan.
Exhibitions and events: Execute and manage exhibitions, events and the rollout of corporate events with a view to promote Thales corporate values & corporate stance.
Branding, Advertising and Content: Work closely with the Group on advertising in relevant print, broadcast and online media. Prepare the local content/storytelling and ensure timely delivery of the same. Assist in writing, creating relevant content for Thaless strategic positioning in India with a focus on engineering capabilities & related matters including corporate ID for the country/ region, attractiveness for local candidates, among others.
Media and Social Media: Manage the editorial content specifically around Thales in India, Thales in the Bangalore Area, the Bangalore Engineering Competence Centre development, local Q&As,);
Follow-Up on operations and budget: Assist India Communications Director in securing and optimising the yearly budget in accordance with the regional communications plan (including exhibitions and events, advertising, multimedia collateral, etc) and supporting on function operations including KPIs, Scorecard & Reports specific.
Support India communications team in other key global and local initiatives as and when required.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous in-house communication experience within a multinational company and/or an Agency (6-9 years).
