Inviting applications for the role of Counsel, Contracting, High-Tech Location: Genpacts Gurgaon office. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Contract Attorney to join our legal team. This role will be integral to our commercial contracting function, providing expert legal support for our High-Tech, IT and BPO business operations. Responsibilities: Draft, review and negotiate simple and complex Master Services Agreements, NDAs, Statement of Work/work orders, Data Privacy Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, Reselling Agreements, change orders and other documents related to commercial transactions; and Provide specialized expertise in contract review and drafting of IT and BPO commercial contracts. The candidate should be comfortable working with technology, which will include MS Word, Power-point, Excel, workflow tools, digitized repository, and other associated tools. The candidate would be expected to work with a cross-functional team while completely owning the documents assigned to the candidate. Given the flexibility in work timings, the candidate will be responsible to meet all deadlines, including short review and turn-around cycles. This may require the candidate to match their work timing with senior lawyers in other countries. The candidate should be comfortable working independently with minimum guidance. Should have the ability to be proactive in reaching out and escalating issues and following up with effective execution. Should have strong interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills in achieving effective relationships. Concise, direct communication while under pressure, and active knowledge-sharing styles. Good understanding and expertise of contract laws, including but not limited to laws related to intellectual property, indemnifications, liability, and information technology/business process outsourcing. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications/skills 6 to 10 years of relevant years of experience in an in-house corporate legal team. Candidate should have been exposed to reviewing and drafting of commercial IT contracts/outsourcing contracts. Ability to work from Genpacts Gurgaon Office. Ability to work modified hours to ensure some overlap with stakeholders in EU and US. Bachelors in law (LLB) or Masters in law (LLM) from a reputed university. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills Experienced in coordinating multi-task responsibilities and projects while interacting with cross-functional teams. Must be solution oriented. ,
