Staff Engineer Ruby on Rails @ NTT DATA

Job Description

You are seeking a Lead / Staff Engineer / Technical Manager or equivalent with 8-15 years of experience to join as a Staff Engineer in Bangalore in a Hybrid mode. You should have at least 4 years of relevant experience as a Ruby on Rails developer with a robust portfolio of leading projects. Your expertise should include in-depth knowledge of the Ruby language and Rails framework, along with proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, integrating them with Rails applications. Your responsibilities will include working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar, understanding RESTful APIs and web services, and knowledge of programming languages like Scala, Python, Java, or Node.js. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are crucial for identifying and resolving complex issues. Additionally, familiarity with testing frameworks for writing unit and integration tests is required. Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologies and working in an Agile development environment is preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective teamwork. Knowledge of frontend frameworks/libraries like React, Vue.js, or Angular is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform will be beneficial.
